Fermentation

Different R&D Areas:

Fermentation Department in Intas is mainly involved in process development for recombinant therapeutics protein as per the market requirement keeping in view of regulatory aspects. The process development includes clone selection, media optimization (Animal source free media), and scale up in shake flask to 10.0L fermenter and optimization of primary downstream processing. Fermentation mainly carried by batch and fed batch mode.

In addition to process development, through close collaboration with other labs, and also additional process development can be carried out as per the requirements of individual customers.

Fermentation technology lab is equipped with 5 and 10 L fermenters (sartorius BBI) constant cell disrupter, Centrifuges, several incubator shakers, basic Microbiology and Biochemical instruments.

The fermentation team is also working on High cell density (HCD) cultivation and immobilization of cells. The fermentation team experts will closely work with downstream processing lab (extraction and purification), analytical, manufacturing and quality groups to evaluate all new processes and to develop robust manufacturing processes
